Refund, Returns & Cancellation Policy



1. Consumer Protection Act (CPA) Compliance


-This policy is governed by the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA). Nothing in this policy is intended to limit or override any rights provided to consumers under the CPA.


-All goods supplied by Technoscent carry a six (6) month implied warranty of quality in terms of Section 56 of the CPA.


 -If goods are found to be defective, unsafe, or not of good quality within six (6) months of delivery, the customer may choose one of the following remedies:

  • Repair
  • Replacement
  • Refund

2. Defective or Incorrect Goods

Refunds may be considered provided that:


  • Defective
  • Damaged upon delivery

  • The product is unused, unopened, and in its original condition and packaging
  • Incorrect
  • Proof of purchase is provided
  • Not as described
  • For digital products or services, the service has not yet been rendered or accessed

You must notify us within 48 hours of delivery and provide supporting photographs where applicable.

Where a defect is confirmed within six (6) months of delivery, we will arrange collection and provide your chosen remedy.


3. Change-of-Mind Returns


Technoscent may, at its discretion, accept returns for change of mind under the following conditions:

  • The request is made within 7 days of delivery

  • The product is unused, unopened, and in its original packaging

  • Proof of purchase is provided


In such cases:

  • The customer may be responsible for return shipping costs

  • A reasonable handling or restocking fee may apply

  • Refunds will be processed once the goods have been inspected and approved


This section does not apply to defective goods covered under Section 1 above.


4. Non-Returnable Items


The following items are not eligible for change-of-mind returns:

  • Customised or special-order products

  • Digital products, software, or licenses that have been activated or delivered

  • Gift cards or vouchers

  • Products damaged due to misuse, negligence, or unauthorised handling


    5. Cooling-Off Period (Direct Marketing)


    Where goods or services were purchased through direct marketing, customers have the right to cancel the transaction within five (5) business days of:

  • The date of agreement; or
  • The date of delivery of goods.
  • Returned goods must be in their original condition. The customer may be responsible for return shipping costs.

    Refunds will be processed within 15 business days after cancellation


    6. Order Cancellations


    Orders may be cancelled:

  • Before dispatch without penalty
  • After processing or shipment, subject to return procedures
  • For special-order or customised items, cancellation may be subject to a reasonable cancellation fee.


    7. Refund Processing


    Approved refunds will be processed within 7–15 business days and will be issued to the original payment method used.

    Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution.

    Shipping & Delivery Policy


    Order Processing

    Orders are processed accordingly after payment confirmation. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next business day.


    Delivery Timeframes


    Estimated delivery times:

  • Gauteng, Bloemfontein & Durban: 2-3 working days
  • Cape Town & Port Elizabeth Delivery: 3 –7 working days
  • All surrounding areas including rural areas -7-14 working days 

Delivery timeframes are estimates and may be affected by courier delays or peak periods.

Shipping Fees


Shipping costs are calculated at checkout unless otherwise stated. Promotional free-shipping offers will be clearly communicated.


Undeliverable Parcels


If an order is returned due to:

  • Incorrect address

  • Failed delivery attempts

  • Failure to collect


The customer may be responsible for additional re-delivery fees.

Technoscent respects your privacy and processes personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
